Worked perfectly

I needed a tee on a 1" low-pressure gas line near the meter to run another line to a standby generator. I already had a 1" branch line near the meter that went underground to a shop, but there was no easy way to put in a tee even though there was an existing steel-brass bevel union. I loosened and removed the bevel union and get enough play to remove some other short nipples and fittings. This compression fitting with a 1" male thread on one end gave me the necessary adjustability to put in a tee without having to pull the meter and tear up a bunch of other stuff. This was a real labor saver. It ended up replacing the existing above-ground bevel union. It was very easy to install and tighten to ensure no leaks. I would not have been able to do this install if I used only the bevel union.

wish they were easier to get locally, but the shipping was prompt and saved the day.
